A third of a cool million is a pretty hot Christmas prize for a Courtice man who won $333,333 in the December 3 LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS draw.
Martin Hester, a father of three who works in manufacturing, has been playing the lottery with OLG for a couple of years. He usually plays LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, using the Quick Pick feature to make his selections. This is his first big win.
“It wasn’t until I scanned my ticket on the OLG app that I realized I had won,” he shared while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I was shocked and, of course, very happy! I shared the news with my family, and their reactions were the same as mine. They were surprised and excited for me.”
With his winnings, Hester plans to pay some bills and travel with his family. “It takes just one ticket,” said Martin. “If you don’t play, you can’t win!”
LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The winning ticket was purchased at Clarington Convenience on Highway 2 in Courtice.
