Update: Major road closed after a collision in Whitby

A main road was closed following a crash in Whitby.
Emergency crews were called to the crash on Dundas Street West in Whitby this afternoon, Durham Regional Police said in a tweet today (Sept. 9) just before 3 p.m.
There was no word on the number of vehicles involved or if there were injuries.
Dundas was closed between Raglan Street and Jeffery Street for the police investigation.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area.
Update: Police said the road reopened around 4 p.m.
