Man arrested for alleged threats and armed robbery at Oshawa convenience store

A man has been arrested for reportedly making threats and robbing a convenience store in Oshawa over the weekend.

On Saturday (Feb. 17) shortly before 9:30 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to an armed robbery at the Kwik Stop Convenience Store located at 433 Simcoe Street South.

According to police, the suspect entered the store threatening to harm the victim with a Taser during a demand for cash and lottery tickets.

Police later confirmed that no Taser or other weapons were observed by the victim.

Investigators say the suspect fled before police arrived, but officers later found him and made an arrest.

Liam Wilson, 18,—of no fixed address—faces several charges including robbery, disguise with intent and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Wilson was held for a bail hearing.
