A man is facing a battery of weapons charges after Durham Police found him sleeping in his car Friday night.
According to Durham Region Police, officers found the man asleep in his car on November 5 in the Dundas Street and Brock Street area in Whitby. Police allege he had empty liquor containers in the car when they found him.
When officers searched the vehicle, they found four conducted energy weapons (commonly known as Tasers), an extending baton, five illegal knives (a few which appear to be switchblades), a set of brass knuckles and numerous rounds of ammunition.
Police continued their investigation by searching a second car owned by the man where they found two semi-automatic guns, a pistol and a sawed-off shotgun.
