Man charged with sexual assault against his designated driver in Scugog

A man has been charged with sexual assault for allegedly inappropriately touching his designated driver in Scugog.

The man called a professional designated driver service on Aug. 2. The driver later came forward to Durham Regional Police to allege the man had touched them inappropriately during the drive.

Jason Stockdale, 43 of Kawartha Lakes, was arrested on a single charge of sexual assault. He’s since been released with conditions.

Sexual assault is defined in Canadian law as any unwanted contact of a sexual nature. There is no statute of limitations and assaults can be reported at any time after the fact. Investigators are working to learn if there are any further allegations against Stockdale. No allegations have been proven in court.
