Man found dead in home north of Oshawa

The Durham Police homicide unit is investigating the death of a man in his Cannington home.

The victim was discovered on June 9 in a home near Shedden Street and St John Street on the south side of town. Cannington is a small community in Brock Township near Lake Simcoe. It’s about 60 kilometres north of Oshawa along Simcoe St.

The investigation has just begun and detectives do not know the cause of death. However, they’ve managed to identify the man as Collin Robinson, 34.

“Investigators from the homicide unit are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the death of Mr. Robinson to contact Det. Graham of the Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5418,” police wrote.
