Police seek information on missing woman last seen east of Oshawa

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being assaulted with a brick at an Oshawa park last week, and police are still searching for the culprit.

On Wednesday (Aug. 28), Durham Regional Police responded to reports of an armed person at Memorial Park located at 110 Simcoe St. S.,  shortly before 7 p.m.

Police say a man struck another man in the head with a brick and then fled the scene.

Officials have not provided additional information on the victim including his age and place of residence.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.

Investigators describe the suspect as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, approximately six feet tall, with a medium build.
