UPDATE: Man in serious condition after being shot at a home north of Oshawa

UPDATE: Police have corrected the victim’s age, saying he is 37.
A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being shot at a home early this morning in Caesarea, Ontario, just north of Oshawa.
Durham Regional Police say the shooting happened shortly before 4 a.m. on Summit Drive and Cedar Grove Drive.
Officers found a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local area hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains in life-threatening condition, police say.
The victim’s identity, including his name and place of residence, has not been released by authorities.
The cause of the shooting is unknown at this time.
According to investigators, the suspect’s description and other information are currently unavailable.
