Durham authorities responded to a major vehicle rollover early this morning.

In a post to X (formerly Twitter), Durham Regional Police indicated that the incident occurred on a regional road near Paisley Lane northwest of Oshawa — close to the township of Uxbridge.

According to officers, a little after midnight this morning (Sept 4), a black Honda CRV crossed paths with an oncoming dump truck after it went over the centre line.

The two vehicles collided resulting in the Hondal rolling over after the initial impact.

The driver of the Honda CRV was rapidly transported to a Toronto region trauma hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officers also indicated that the driver of the dump truck remained uninjured and stayed on the scene when officers arrived.

The Durham Regional Police Collision Investigation Unit investigated the area for several hours to collect evidence surrounding the collision.

Authorities are asking any members of the public to come forward if they have any information or witnessed the incident.
