Man known to frequent Durham Region wanted by ROPE Squad

A man with a long rap sheet who is known to frequent Durham Region, Peterborough, Simcoe County, York Region and the GTA is wanted by police and the provincial ROPE Squad.

Derek Powell, 54, is serving a seven-and-a-half-year long-term supervision order for assault with a weapon, threaten death and bodily harm (two counts), forcible confinement (two counts), assault police (two counts) and four parole violations.
