Man points gun at group of people at Oshawa’s largest mall

A man who pointed a gun at a group of people in an Oshawa mall this week is being sought by police.

Police responded to a report of a man pointing a firearm at several people at the Oshawa Centre, at 419 King St. W., on Monday around 7:20 p.m., Durham Regional Police said.

The man was reportedly pointing the gun at a group of males in the south end of the mall.

Police said there was an “altercation” and the man fled on foot with two other males, travelling southbound through the parking lot.

Police are looking for a man described as being 20 to 30 years old with a brown complexion, slim build and long hair in a bun.

He is approximately six feet tall and was wearing a white tracksuit, black sandals, a black crossbody satchel and black scarf.
