Man killed in drive-by shooting in west Oshawa

A man has been shot and killed just west of downtown Oshawa.

Durham Police are in the area of King St W and Park Road in Oshawa for a shooting investigation. Police have now confirmed a man was declared dead at the scene from multiple gunshots.

The shooting took place in front of the Cash Connections in the Teddy’s Plaza in what appears to be a drive-by shooting.

There is a heavy police presence with Air 1 deployed to find the shooter, with reports of neighbourhoods on either side of Waverley Road between Adelaide Avenue and Rossland Rock blocked to non-residents while the search is underway.

Police are not releasing any more information at this time but say more information is to follow.
