Man stabbed in Beaverton on New Year’s Day

Police are looking for several suspects after a stabbing in Beaverton early Wednesday morning that sent a man to hospital.
Durham Police responded to reports of a stabbing near Mill Sreet and Bay Street just before 5 a.m. New Year’s Day. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim about half a kilometre away near Park Avenue and Osborne Street suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the man was approached by the suspects and after a brief interaction was stabbed.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance, to contact police. Anyone with any new information is asked to contact the North Criminal Investigation Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1505.
