Man stabbed repeatedly on sidewalk near Ajax school, two suspects at large

Two suspects remain at large after police found a man who had been stabbed repeatedly and left bleeding on an Ajax sidewalk.

Durham Regional Police said they received reports about the stabbing a little after 3 a.m. on May 28. Officers responded to the scene near Raine Dr. and Sullivan Dr. The area is a residential neighbourhood in the town’s north side directly in front of Dr. Roberta Bondar Public School.

On arrival, police found the victim, age 26, suffering “obvious injuries.” They applied first aid until paramedics rushed the victim to a Toronto trauma centre. He remains there in serious but stable condition.

Police say they are searching for two suspects of the stabbing. No descriptions or identifying features about the suspects were provided.

“Anyone with any video footage, including dash-cam and home surveillance, is asked to please contact police,” investigators said.
