Man wanted after car break-in in Whitby

A man is wanted after allegedly breaking into a car in Whitby and making off with several valuables.

Someone broke into a Lexus SUV parked near Splendor Drive and Vineyard Avenue in Whitby between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. He made off with numerous personal items, banking cards, cash, and identity documents before he fled.

The man then used the bank cards at several gas stations in Whitby and Oshawa. Police describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall Black man with a short afro and a full beard.

He was wearing a black t-shirt, a gold necklace, a gold bracelet on his right wrist, black pants, and black shoes.
