Man wanted for a break-and-enter at a south Ajax residence

Durham Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect who allegedly broke into a house in Ajax last month and stole jewelry.

On Thursday (Aug. 17) at approximately 10 a.m., police say a man broke into a residence in the area of Rands Rd. and Finley Ave., where he stole a quantity of jewelry.

Investigators are urging the public to assist in identifying the individual, who also attempted to enter another home in the same vicinity without success.

Police say the suspect is described as a white man with short dark hair. He was seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black short-sleeve shirt over a black Champion t-shirt, dark shorts, and blue Adidas running shoes.
