Man wanted on a Warrant of Committal missing from Whitby’s Ontario Shores

Police are once again searching for a man wanted on a Warrant of Committal from Ontario Shores Mental Health Centre in Whitby.
David Lewis, 46, was last seen just before 1 p.m. on Friday, December 7 at the mental health centre on Gordon Street.
Police say Lewis requires medication and his condition may deteriorate. If you see him, do not approach and call police.
Lewis is described as a 6’4” Black man with a heavy build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black toque, black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, beige/green camouflage pants and black/grey shoes.
Anyone who knows the location of this missing person is asked to contact their local police service. In Durham Region call 1-888-579-1520.

Another Ontario Shores man wanted for a Warrant of Committasl was safely returned to the facility less than three weeks ago.
