A search is underway for a man who allegedly used fraudulent information to rent a car from a Whitby business.

A man went to the Enterprise Rent-a-Car at 1111 Dundas St. E. on April 14. Durham Regional Police allege he then fraudulently rented a Black 2021 Dodge Durango SUV with a Quebec licence plate FPL-5112.

On Sept. 8, police released an image of a suspect from Enterprise’s security cameras. They described him as a 40 to 50-year-old white man with a medium build, short balding hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing white Oakley sunglasses, a black long-sleeve sweater with white flames on the arms, a green vest, dark jeans, and dark shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity can call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1845 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
