Marijuana grow-op burgled with over $300K of cannabis seized in Durham, police say

A traffic stop led officers to over $300,000 worth of cannabis stolen from a licensed grow operation in Durham, police say.
Durham Regional Police say they found 550 marijuana plants after pulling over a vehicle in the area of Scugog Line 14 and Highway 12 in Brock on Nov. 29.
An investigation revealed that a licensed marijuana grow operation outside of Durham had been broken into.
Two men were arrested in the traffic stop and police say they seized hundreds of plants and over 60 pounds of dried, processed cannabis.
A 30-year-old man from Richmond Hill and a 57-year-old man from Toronto are each charged with multiple offences including break-and-enter, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and adult possess illicit cannabis.
The former was released on an undertaking while the second accused, who’s also charged with fail to comply with a release order, was held for a bail hearing.
