Markham man faces drug trafficking, gun charges charges after Durham police arrest

Durham Regional Police arrested a Markham man on drug trafficking charges in Toronto yesterday.

Drug Enforcement unit officers arrested the man, Daniel Frier, 36 of Markham, and executed a search warrant at his home. Police say they found four kg of cocaine in the house valued at $400,000, along with $29,000 in Canadian cash and a loaded Glock pistol with ammo.

Frier has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and seven firearms charges. He will remain in custody until a bail hearing.
