The memorial service for Pickering Councillor Ian Cumming will be this Saturday at the Arbor Memorial Chapel in Pickering Village.
Visitation and the memorial service is by invitation only, but the service will be live-streamed by the chapel at www.livememorialservices.com/Home/ServiceDetail/17237.
Cumming died November 1, one day after his 75th birthday. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 but beat it into submission two years ago.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking you donate to the Pickering Animal Shelter (https://www.pickering.ca/en/living/donations.aspx), a project championed by Cumming for many years.
He will be missed by his wife Amy, children Mark (Whitney) and Blair (Sara) and their mother, Aileen. He leaves five grandchildren (Trinity, Jessie, Henry, Liam and Dylan) and will be remembered by his brother Allan (Bonnie) and their son Austin.
