Pickering crime scene night

An armed carjacking in Pickering has police searching for three suspects wanted for a robbery at gunpoint of a Mercedes SUV Saturday night.

Durham Police say the victim was driving his Mercedes G550 SUV eastbound on Taunton Road near Altona Road just before 11 p.m. Saturday when he was “intentionally” rammed by another vehicle. When he got out of his vehicle he was confronted by two men – both wearing surgical masks – with one armed with a gun.

A demand was made for the keys to the Mercedes and both suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Both the suspect car, a small black sedan driven by the third man, and the stolen vehicle were last seen travelling westbound on Taunton Road from Altona Road.

The victim sustained no physical injuries.

Suspect #1 is described as 6-foot, wearing a blue medical mask, a black coat and blue gloves.

Suspect #2 is described as 5’10 and also wearing a blue medical mask, black coat and blue gloves.

There is no description of the driver of the suspect vehicle.
