Mini-RIDE spot check in Oshawa leads to recovery of stolen car

A mini-RIDE spot check conducted near Stevenson Road and Bloor Street Monday night led to two drivers charged with drinking and driving offences and the recovery of a stolen car.
Durham Regional Police East Division officers were on the scene in Oshawa and stopped 134 vehicles in total. In addition to the two impaired charges one driver was given a warning, which results in a three-day licence suspension.
