UPDATE: Missing man with dementia last seen at grocery store in Whitby, Ontario

UPDATE: Durham Regional Police say they have located 77-year-old Antonio from Whitby. He is safe and sound.


Police are searching for a vulnerable missing man who was last seen driving away from a grocery store in Whitby yesterday.

Durham Regional Police responded to a missing persons call at the Real Canadian Superstore located at 200 Taunton Rd.  W.

Investigators say 77-year-old Antonio from Whitby was last seen at the grocery store between 2:55 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. He is believed to have left the area in a 2016 gun-metal grey Chevrolet Sonic Sedan with dark grey rims and plastic hub caps. The vehicle’s Ontario licence plate number is CWTS054.

Police say Antonio suffers from dementia and has not driven in many years. His family are concerned for his safety.

Antonio is described as a white man with a height of 5-foot-7 and a weight of 150 pounds. He has a medium build and short brown and grey hair. Antonio was last seen wearing a grey wool sweater, a green and blue dress shirt, navy blue pants and brown shoes.
