Missing person’s vehicle found north of Pickering; Uxbridge man’s body found inside

The vehicle of a missing man from Uxbridge has been found.

Durham Regional Police said Wilson, 21, was last seen Friday (Oct. 18) in the area of  Main Street North and Dallas Street in Uxbridge.

On Tuesday morning, police announced the 21-year-old’s vehicle was found.

The vehicle was involved in a collision, and a person was found dead inside in the vehicle, police said.

The missing man’s family has been notified and the body has been sent for a post mortem examination to confirm the identity.

Uxbridge Concession Road 3, between Uxbridge Pickering Townline Road and Webb Road, will remain closed for the day due to a collision investigation, police said.

Police first announced the road closure on Monday evening just before 9 p.m.

Uxbridge Pickering Townline Road between Sideline 24 and Sideline 26 is also closed for a collision investigation.

Police asked drivers to find alternative routes.
