More photo radar machines destroyed in Durham towns and cities

Local authorities are asking the public to help assist in an investigation surrounding a traffic camera that has been vandalized in Durham Region.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter), Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) representatives within the North Division have indicated they are investigating what appears to be a traffic speed camera that has been knocked over and damaged in the process.
In the post, authorities within the Durham Region indicated that “Photo Radar helps enforce speed limits in school and community safety zones – where kids walk, run, bike and play. They work very well when not vandalized.”

DRPS officials are calling on the public’s assistance in identifying any individuals who engage in photo radar vandalization.
