Astrid Schiller, 54 of Clarington, is accused of kidnapping her three sons.

A Clarington mother is wanted for the alleged abduction of her three kids.

According to Durham Regional Police, they launched a “complex” investigation into the whereabouts of Astrid Schiller, 54, and her kids (Leon, 11, Christopher, 10, and Thomas, 9) back in December. During this investigation, police were not concerned for the children’s safety. Numerous filings have been made between the courts and Children’s Aid during this time.

Investigators had made contact with Schiller, though they could not locate her. However, she has since stopped co-operating with the investigation, police say.

Police issued a warrant for Schiller’s arrest on Jan. 24. She is charged with three counts of abduction by a parent and breach of a court order.

Anyone with information can call police at 1-888-579-1520 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Those with information about the boy’s whereabouts is asked to call their local police service.
