Motorcyclist in critical condition after crashing with truck in Scugog, Ontario

A motorcyclist is in hospital with critical injuries after colliding with a pickup truck last night in Scugog, Ontario.

Durham Regional Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash along Regional Road 57 and Nestleton Road, just north of Oshawa.

The 65-year-old motorcycle rider was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown.

It is unclear if the truck driver was injured or if passengers (if any) were also injured.

Police have not confirmed the cause of the collision or whether factors such as speed or impaired driving played a role.
