Names of victims and suspect in Oshawa homicide released

Police have released the names of the two victims and suspect involved in the fatal shooting in Oshawa.
Yesterday at 12:35 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to reports of gunshots near Jane Avenue and Glenforest Street.
Upon arrival, they found 42-year-old Patrick Montgomery, who had been shot. Despite efforts to take him to the hospital, Patrick died.
Information at the scene led officers to a second house on Glenforest Street. Inside, they discovered 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery, who had also been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not disclose the relationship between the two victims, leaving it unclear whether they were family members or married.
Police have identified Mark Gordon, 30, as a suspect in this homicide case. He is facing two counts of first-degree murder charges.
Gordon has been held for a bail hearing.
Officials confirmed that the suspect was known to the victims and that the shooting was not domestic-related.
The motive behind the murders is still under investigation, police say.
Investigators will be in the Oshawa area and ask anyone with information to come forward.
