A new dog waste system is being tested at trail sites in Uxbridge.
The Township of Uxbridge’s trails department is using the system for two months at Maplebridge at Post 2 and Elgin Park at the Water Street entrance.
It said the system will allow pet owners to throw waste and grab new biodegradable bags at once.
The system includes a biodegradable bag dispenser and disposal compartment.
Dog waste on trails was reportedly a problem in the past. Many trails are owned by residents who have let the township use them.
Uxbridge did not provide more information about the system in its tweet or on its website.
