The new Costco store in north Oshawa gets its moment in the sun next Thursday morning – bright and early – when company executives and City officials cut the ribbon to officially open the facility.
The warehouse, located at 100 Windfields Farm Drive East near Simcoe Street and Winchester Road, will be the city’s second Costco location.
The new store created nearly 100 jobs during construction and has hired 85 local part-time jobs as well as 80-100 seasonal jobs.
Media members are invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30 a.m., with the store opening to the public at seven a.m.
Costco currently operates more than 100 stores in Canada with annual sales of nearly $23 billion.
