New sexual assault charges laid against Pickering restaurant owner after more victims come forward

A 64-year-old Ajax restaurant owner is facing additional sexual assault charges after more victims have come forward.

Durham Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit began an investigation last month after a 16-year-old victim came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect. The suspect, a manager/owner of a restaurant on Kingston Road in Pickering is alleged to have inappropriately touched the victim in the workplace.

Since then, three more victims have come forward with similar allegations.

Esmaeil Jafariesfidvajan of Ajax is facing additional charges including three new counts of Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation. He was released on an Undertaking.
