A crime story posted last week has led to the arrest of a man who Durham police say broke into a Dollarama store in Oshawa.

Central West Division officers responded to a break-and-enter at the Dollarama, located at 580 Laval Drive near the Stevenson Road Highway 401 interchange, in the early hours of June 22. Police say a man smashed the front glass window of the business with a rock before entering the store.

The news reports and the Help Solve a Crime request led police to the arrest of Krisdon Morse of Oshawa. Morse, 35, is charged with break-and-enter and fail to comply with probation order.

He was released on an Undertaking.

Police are still gathering evidence on the crime and anyone with cellphone, dashcam, surveillance footage, or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Bacon of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1845.
