Oshawa Generals forward Beckett Sennecke, who was inexplicably left off the Canadian National Junior team development camp roster, added at the last minute and ultimately cut, has been named the Ontario Hockey League player of the Month.
Sennecke, the Anaheim Ducks first-round pick last spring (third overall), collected 22 points in eight games in December, including nine goals and 13 assists.
So far this season he has scored 24 goals and added 28 helpers for 52 points to sit seventh in the league. Sennecke had 68 points last season added 22 more in 16 games as the Generals advanced to the Ontario Hockey League final.
Sennecke was also named the CHL player of the Week in November.
