The City of Oshawa is asking residents and businesses to be patient as crews clear the last of the roadways and sidewalks resulting from the record snowfall.

If you have any energy left after the past two days remember to clear your sidewalks and remove accumulations of snow and ice around fire hydrants, exit doors, stairways and fire escapes. Keep vent for furnaces, hot water heaters, dryers and other gas-fueled appliances clear of snow.

Garbage, green bin and blue box collection has also shifted by one day for this week. If your scheduled day was Wednesday, it will be collected Thursday. Please ensure you are placing your bins and bags on a clear surface and not on top of the snowbanks.

The good news is outdoor leisure skating ice rinks at Delpark Homes Centre have re-opened as of today.
