Oshawa Blue Knights carved their way through the U17 opposition at the Ontario Summer Games in Mississauga with precision, running the table with five preliminary round wins before capping the tournament with a gold medal.

The Blue Knights boys beat local rival Clarington 5-2 in the opener Friday, followed by a 6-3 win over London the same day. On Saturday the team trounced Six Nations 6-1 before beating Orangeville – their gold medal game opponent the following day – 7-4.

Oshawa finished the round robin with a 5-3 victory over Nepean Sunday morning before taking out Orangeville 6-4 in the championship game.

London doubled up Clarington 6-3 in the bronze medal game.

All games were played at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.

The Oshawa Blue Knights U17 midget boys earned some glory on the field as well, winning the gold medal at the Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League finals in May.
