Oshawa break-and-enter leads to criminal charges

A 30-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges after breaking into a home in Oshawa.

On Sunday, July 24 at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of Central East Division responded to a break and enter on Beatrice Street East. A witness observed the suspect breaking into a home and contacted police. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect fled. The suspect was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

No injuries occurred as the residents were not home at the time.

Mathew Clarke is charged with break and enter.
