Ben Danford of the Oshawa Generals scoring the tying goal and Baie-Comeau’s Raoul Boilard scored twice as Team Red beat Team White 3-1 in the 2024 CHL / NHL Top Prospects Game in Moncton, N.B. Wednesday night.

Danford’s second period tying goal was the result of a pair of D-Men connecting as the Generals’ second-year player jumped in on the rush to score on the back door after a feed from Vancouver Giant Colton Roberts.

The goal came after Windsor captain and Pickering native Liam Greentree had given Team White a 1-0 lead. Greentree has 24 goals with the Spitfires this year.

Boilard scored the game-winner early in the third, finding a loose puck 5:52 of under Spokane netminder Lukas Cowan to give Team Red a 2-1 lead. Boilard finished the scoring with an empty net goal with 1:20 to play.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Team Red, their first victory in the annual showcase for the best undrafted player in the CHL since 2018.

The Generals sent three players to the Prospects game, the most of any team in Canada. Danford’s teammates Beckett Sennecke and Luca Marrelli played for Team White.
