The Oshawa Generals used a furious third period comeback to make the final score close but the result in Game 2 of their OHL first-round playoff series Sunday with the Kingston Frontenacs was the same as Game 1 Friday – a loss.

Kingston, who lead the best-of-seven series 2-0 heading into Tuesday’s match at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, assembled a 5-0 lead by the 2:35 mark of the third period yesterday and hung on to beat the Generals 6-4 to follow up Friday night’s 6-1 thrashing.

Jordan Frasca scored twice and Francesco Arcuri added three assists for the Frontenacs Sunday, while Dawson McKinney, Ryan Gagnier, Jordyn Ertel and Brett Harrison took care of the Oshawa scoring.

Patrick Leaver, who went the distance Friday in net for Oshawa, was pulled in the first period Sunday after the third Kingston goal. Zachary Paputsakis finished up.

On Friday night Cameron Butler drew first blood for the Generals before the game fell apart for Oshawa with six unanswered Kingston goals.

Paul Ludwinski scored twice and three different Frontenacs chipped in with two assists each.
