The very streaky Oshawa Generals have rocketed to the top seed in the east and #3 in the league in the latest OHL power rankings released Monday.

The Generals have a five-game winning streak and a five-game losing streak already in 2024 and are currently on a four-game heater, with the last three victories coming against the league’s best clubs in London, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury this weekend.

All three wins have come without captain and leading goal scorer Stuart Rolofs to boot.

Oshawa Generals – up six spots to #3 this week – A whale of a weekend for the Generals sees them shoot up the Power Rankings into third after scoring road wins over top-ranked opponents in London, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury. Calum Ritchie (5-2–7) and Beckett Sennecke (1-6–7) each had seven points last week while big forward Dylan Roobroeck had six (2-4–6). Oshawa sits three points back of first place Brantford in the East Division, having collected points in nine of their last 10 games.

Sunday night’s emphatic 6-2 win in Sudbury was led by Ritchie with a pair of goals and Sennecke, who had four points, including a penalty shot goal. Roobroeck contributed three points.

The tenth-ranked Ottawa 67s, who the Generals meet Tuesday night at the Tribute Centre, is also playing well and is just four points back in third.

Oshawa’s last loss was to Ottawa on Feb. 23 at TD Place in the nation’s capital.
