The Oshawa Generals are preparing for their first real test of the young season with three games in three nights this weekend against opponents who are a combined 8-3 to start the year.

The Generals are 2-2 to start the season, with both wins coming at the friendly confines of the Tribute Communities Centre and will have two chances at home on the weekend, starting with a date Friday night against the 2024 Memorial Cup host Saginaw Spirit.

The next night the club will be at Sadlon Arena to face the 3-1 Barrie Colts, followed by a return trip home Sunday to square off against the North Bay Battalion, also at 3-1.

Friday’s visit by the Sprit will be Saginaw’s only date at the Tribute Centre this year.

Sophomore forward Beckett Sennecke leads all Oshawa scorers with two goals and three assists in four games this season.
