The Oshawa Generals go into the lions tonight – or at least the Ottawa 67’s temporary home across the river in Gatineau – when they face off against the league’s top team in game one of the OHL’s first round of the playoffs.

Ottawa won seven of nine meetings this year but five games needed extra time, so the Generals, who qualified for the post-season by a single point, have been able to play the 67s tough.

The key to success for Oshawa may be their power play, which operated at a 25.6 per rate, good for third-best in the league. Ottawa’s game plan will be to set the tone early and stay out of the box.

Game time is 7 p.m.
