Smart buyers are continuing to look to Oshawa for real estate bargains with two of the five most affordable homes on the market in the past month – according to Zoocasa.com – listed in the Motor City.

Number one is a bachelor apartment in a student housing complex at 1800 Simcoe St. N near Ontario Tech/Durham College listed at $278,000 which sold ten days ago for just $265,000. The 500 sq. ft. apartment is fully furnished and grants access to amenities such as a games room, gym and student lounge on each floor, making it a nifty deal, especially with taxes of just $1,592 per year.

Number four on the list is also in Oshawa: a one-bedroom downtown condo apartment at 55 William St. E. The apartment boasts an oversized balcony overlooking a private courtyard and is located in a building that has a pool, sauna and billiards room. The condo is on the market for $375,000.

Other homes on the ‘most affordable’ list include a home in Georgina on Cryderman Sideroad near Lake Simcoe listed at $315,000; a west Toronto condo apartment on Dixon Road going for $350,000; and an east Toronto apartment on Tapscott Road for sale at $375,000.
