Oshawa, Greenbank residents win luxury lakefront cottages in Princess Margaret Lottery

Two lucky Durham Region residents are now the proud owners of luxury cottages after winning two of the three grand prizes in the Princess Margaret Lottery.

Elizabeth Tucker of Oshawa had her name selected for the $2.2 Haliburton Grand Prize, which included a $2 Million-plus lakefront cottage plus $100,000 CASH. Tucker’s ticket number was10142186.

Michael McCrae of Greenbank in Scugog Township won the $2.1 million Kawartha Grand Prize of a lakefront cottage worth $2 million and $100,000 in cash. His ticket number was 10004918.

The lottery is held each year to raise funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is a scientific research centre and a teaching hospital in Toronto. It is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine as part of the University Health Network.

The hospital now stands as the largest cancer centre in Canada and one of the five largest cancer centres in the world.

The Princess Margaret lottery helps support cancer research at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and around the world.
