The Oshawa-made Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty enjoyed its best third-quarter sales ever, helping GM Canada deliver more than 62,000 vehicles, a 28 per cent jump from the same period last year.

The Silverado’s sister vehicle, the GMC Sierra HD, also had its best-ever Q3, as the did the electric Chevrolet Bolt EV, with the company now increasing production to meet demand.

“GM Canada’s results this quarter reflect sustained customer demand combined with improvements in vehicle production and dealer deliveries,” said Sandor Piszar, vice president, sales, service and marketing, GM Canada. “The team delivered impressive sales across our key products, including EVs, full-size SUVs, and full-size pickups. These results also demonstrate the full impact of Oshawa Assembly, which is building both light-duty and heavy-duty pickups across three shifts of production.”
