A 59-year-old north Oshawa man has been charged with numerous sexual assault offences involving multiple victims.
Durham Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit are worried there may be other victims.
The unit began their investigation last month after multiple young female victims came forward with allegations of a sexual nature against the suspect. The offences occurred between January and August this year and all involved under-aged girls.
On Wednesday, September 7 investigators arrested and charged Sean McDonald with two counts of sexual assault; two counts of sexual interference and make sexually explicit material available to a person under 14 years of age.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims; a photo of the suspect is attached and can be viewed at www.drps.ca under Newsroom.
Anyone with new information that could help investigators is asked to contact D/Cst. Robertson of the Major Crime – Special Victims Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5337.
Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
