Oshawa man arrested after car crash sends five to hospital

An Oshawa driver was arrested Tuesday night after police allege he ran a stop sign and crashed into an SUV filled with five people.
Police were called to Oshawa’s Malaga Drive and Oxford Street area after reports of a two car collision. When they arrived on-scene officers found a SUV with five occupants and a silver Kia sedan had collided. The driver was the only one in the Kia.
Investigators collected reports from witness saying the Kia was speeding toward the intersection and blew past a stop sign before crashing into the SUV. All five people in the SUV were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Kia driver, Clifton Goffe-Forde, 26 of Oshawa is charged with refusing to comply with a demand for a breath test. and dangerous driving.
