Oshawa man arrested for selling counterfeit Magic: The Gathering cards

A man faced fraud charges after allegedly selling fake Magic: The Gathering playing cards.

The victim bought cards through Facebook Marketplace from a user in March for $1,500. He subsequently learned the cards were fake.

Police believe there are other victims who have yet to come forward.

An individual was charged with two counts of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of passing off wares. He has been released with conditions.

All charges have since been dropped.
