Oshawa man arrested in child pornography operation

A 41 year-old Oshawa man has been charged with seven counts related to the distribution of child pornography as a result of a joint investigation by the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes – Child Exploitation Section and Peel Regional Police’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
The investigation began in August, with officers from both units executing a search warrant in the Wilson Road and Dean Avenue area of Oshawa December 1.
Jeffrey Hewitt is charged with:
- Making Child Pornography
- two counts of Possessing Child Pornography
- Accessing Child Pornography
- two counts of Distributing Child Pornography and
- Fail To Comply Recognizance
Hewitt is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto on Friday, December 10.
This investigation is ongoing.
