Oshawa man arrested in connection with alleged indecent acts in Whitby

Police arrested an Oshawa man Wednesday during an investigation into two indecent acts committed in front of teenage girls in Whitby recently.
Both incidents were reported to Durham Police on November 15. The first happened in October 21 in Jack Wilson Park, the second on November 15 in the Dryden Boulevard and Garden Street area of Whitby.
In both alleged incidents a man approached a teenage girl in his car and asked directions while according to police, “committing an indecent act.”
Tamim Shah, 22 of Oshawa, was arrested November 17. He has been charged with three counts of exposing genitals to a person under 16 and committing an indecent act in a public place.
He will remain in custody until a bail hearing.
